I’ve been doing a lot of shopping at Target lately getting ready for my big move, and I’ve been totally shocked at how good some of their new inventory. Shopping there can really be a hit or miss for me when it comes to quality and I’m super picky about fabrics, to the point where I annoy even myself. With that being said, here’s my little roundup of my current favs:
Cotton Midi Dress —- This is honestly one of my fav purchases. I’ve been lusting after this Jenni Kayne dress for a while but haven’t wanted to pull the trigger until there’s either a sale or I finally manage to find one second hand. As soon as I saw this dress hanging at Target, I scooped it up. It’s 100% cotton and has a stiff but breezy feel, and it looks way more expensive than it actually is – the first time I wore this was wine tasting to Napa and I got complements all day. The other colours don’t present as well, for some reason, so I’d stick to classic black for this one.
Fleece Jogger —- Wearing these has been like being wrapped in a comfy little cloud. I like how slim and tapered thees are, as well as the ultra high waistline. They’re cosy enough to sleep in, but also stylish enough to be able to walk the dog and run errands without making it obvious that I’m literally still wearing my sleepwear. There’s also a matching sweatshirt that didn’t fit great as the shoulders were too narrow for me, but if you have a more narrow upper body frame they’ll probably work.
Slide Sandals —- I want to preface this by saying I never quite got the hype about yeezys. After trying these on in store, though, I kinda get it. These are great for taking the dog outside, driving to grab a quick cup of coffee, and just generally lounging around. I’m packing these for my big road trip, and think they’ll be great for the campground too.
Pajama Set —- I heard that these were a great dupe for the Eberjey set, and it didn’t disappoint. I not only got a set to wear at home, but also one to leave at both my and my boyfriend’s parents’ homes for when we visit. They’re soft but lightweight, and I’ve yet to be able to set any wrinkles in them despite tossing and turning all night.
Straw Tote —- I really like this tote and am tempted every time I walk into Target to get it in green as well, although I must admit that the quality on some seemed to be a bit better than others when I was checking them out in-store. If you’re going on vacation somewhere warm and sunny, it’s a great size to double as a personal item on a plane that you can then reuse for all of your beach gear.
Contour Leggings —- I’m so happy that brands are finally starting to make clothes with different waist-hip ratios for women. Much like our beloved Curve Love at Abercrombie, Target’s new Contour line for their in-house workout brand adds an extra bit of room through the hips and thighs while nipping in at the waistband. The materials feel great, and they’ve held up in the wash really well. Suffice to say, I’m a convert.
